Norfolk SEPAC: Who We Are/What We Do


The Norfolk SEPAC is run by volunteer Norfolk parents and provides a great support system for families with all types of needs, including IEPs, 504s and general support and advice from other parents navigating parenthood.

We offer free educational presentations, resources, information on the IEP process, and opportunities for parents and students to connect in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Aspiration

 Together we are building an inclusive world where every child and young adult experiences belonging and can participate equitably in life’s opportunities.

 

Mission

 We empower families, engage diverse communities, and eliminate barriers to improve life outcomes for all children and young adults, especially those with disabilities.


Regular Free Workshops

Offering families and educators in our district free virtual workshops throughout the year. Each week, FCSN will host 4 virtual workshops on Monday through Thursday: one each of their 3 Basic Rights workshops (Evaluation and Eligibility, Understanding the IEP and Transition Planning) as well as one special topic workshop.

Or come to a meeting on the 2nd Thursday of every month @ 7pm in the Freeman-Kennedy school library.
